Fidget Games

I was a big fan of wasting time playing flash games back in the day. They had a simple premise and could captivate you for a few minutes. They were lightweight and instant to pick up and put down. That's the essence I tried to recreate with this set of minigames. You just click around until you feel like doing something else.

It can run in the browser and this page will remember your high scores and the theme you picked, so it's how you left it when you come back. Play it in the browser for free or spend at least $1 to download it for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Thanks!

How to play

You can play every minigame with just a mouse.

Calm - Based on Visual Meditation Techniques

Sand: Hold the left mouse button to pour sand from the cursor. Select different colors from the row of swatches at the top right. Make some art or just watch how it falls and settles. Hit Reset to clear all sand.

Drop: Hold the left mouse button to send beads tumbling down through the pegs into the bins at the bottom. When a peg or a bin is hit, it will play a note. Hit Clear to remove all beads from the screen.

Orbit: Click to put a planet into orbit around the sun and make your own solar system. Planets are affected by each other's gravity so it can make for some interesting results.

Focus

Balance: Move your mouse to swing the sledgehammer upright and try to keep it there for as long as you can.

Hoops: Click and hold to lock the ball in place somewhere, then drag back and let go to shoot. See how many you can sink.

Timing: Click the left mouse button or tap the spacebar when the marker passes through the green bar. Every time you hit it, the bar shrinks and the marker gets faster. Miss once and you start over.

Active

Hammer Toss: Hold the left mouse button to hold the hammer. Swing it in circles with your mouse to build up speed, and let go to send it flying.

Reaction: Circles appear and shrink over time. Click them before they vanish to keep your streak alive. The longer you last, the faster they will appear and vanish. There's a slider if you want it easier or harder.

Runner: Jump over the obstacles with spacebar, up arrow, or left click. It gets faster the longer you go.
